Boston-based advertising and media relations firm CerconeBrownCompany (CBC) today announced an internal promotion as well as the addition of several members to its team. The new hires will provide essential advertising and media relations support to the firms growing roster of clients, including Massport, J.Jill, Backyard Farms and GMAC Insurance.

It has been imperative in 2011 to bring on more people who can contribute to our team’s depth and breadth of skills in advertising and media relations.”
Alyssa Kane has been promoted to assistant account executive. Kane started working at CBC in September of 2010 after graduating from the University of Connecticut. She specializes in media relations and works with Swiss Watch brands Mondaine and Luminox, as well as natural frozen foods company Good Food Made Simple. CBC also looks to Kane to supports their iconic House programs, a gathering of the nation’s top press to live among, learn about, and experience the top brands and products a natural, “pitch-free” environment.
Recent new team members include:
Caroline Gormley, account coordinator: A recent psychology graduate from Bowdoin College, Caroline devotes much of her time at CBC to social media relations. In addition to her analytical skills, Caroline brings a wealth of communications and media relations experience to the company, gleaned from years of marketing internships.
Roberta Pospissil, account executive: Roberta brings a diverse skill set to CBC with a graduate degree in management from Harvard University and postgraduate and bachelors degrees in Journalism from universities in Brazil. Most recently, Roberta worked as the International Outreach Coordinator at the non-profit organization One Laptop Per Child. Roberta dedicates much of her time to social media relations for CBC while also working on the GMAC Insurance and Massport accounts.
Angela Pessolano, account executive: Angela comes to CBC from Marina Maher Communications in NYC where she worked on Proctor & Gamble brands, executing holistic traditional and social media relations campaigns. At CBC, Pessolano works with J.Jill, Jones and Vining and Share Our Strength account teams.
Sarah Murphy, senior account executive: Sarah comes to CBC from Regan Communication where she worked clients Simon Malls, Grossman Marketing and Cross Insurance. Prior to Regan, Sarah worked in Seattle at Frause, where she managed creative campaigns for clients including re-branding, production of web sites, and copywriting. Murphy supports CBC creative services division.
