Pennsylvania entrepreneur and a star of the ABC Shark Tank TV Show, Rebecca Rescate of CitiKitty, has been awarded a patent for her innovative and money saving litter box solution, the CitiKitty Cat Toilet Training Kit.

CitiKitty Pet Products announced that it was awarded its U.S. patent for its toilet training system for animals, the CitiKitty Cat Toilet Training Kit. CitiKitty's patented training kit teaches household animals, cats specifically, how to use the human toilet and eliminates the mess and waste caused by a litter box.

Rebecca Rescate, CitiKitty's Founder and inventor of the training kit, commented that “CitiKitty's unique solution to the litter box saves cat owners thousands of dollars normally spent on kitty litter and is also much better for the environment. The EPA recommends pet waste be flushed to eliminate ground water contamination and over 4 billion pounds of kitty litter are sent to landfills every year which is a needless waste.”

The CitiKitty invention teaches cats to use the toilet with its disappearing litter box technique. CitiKitty's kit gradually reduces the amount of kitty litter cats use while teaching them to use the toilet instead. At the end of the kits 5-step training process cats aim straight into the toilet bowl, and the litter box is eliminated.

"CitiKitty has toilet trained thousands of cats around the world and saves cat owners from the frustration of having a litter box. Our patent is recognition of CitiKitty's unique pet care solution." comments Rescate.

The CitiKitty Cat Toilet Training Kit has been recognized by national TV shows and buying guides as a must-have pet product. Rescate's recent appearance on ABC Televisions TV show Shark Tank led to worldwide recognition of its patented product and showcased that mompreneurs such as Rescate can bring important innovations to market while raising kids.

ABOUT CITIKITTY PET PRODUCTS
Mr. Jinx, the beloved cat of Robert De Niro’s character in “Meet the Parents”, may have put cat toilet training on the big screen, but in real life a cat named Samantha is the purring inspiration behind CitiKitty. The Tuxedo cat used to live in a 500-square-foot Manhattan apartment with her owner, Rebecca. The pair cohabitated wonderfully together with the exception of Samantha’s litter box. Rebecca made it her mission to find an affordable, safe, healthy, easy and environmentally friendly alternative for Samantha to discard her unmentionables. During Rebecca’s personal pursuit of the litter-free lifestyle CitiKitty was born.

The CitiKitty Toilet Training Kit is made in the USA and distributed worldwide. CitiKitty and other amazing cat products can be found at http://www.citikitty.com. For more information or to see a video of a CitiKitty toilet-trained cat, please visit http://www.citikitty.com.
