The system will undergo a period of trials over the coming months and will allow Palomar to design buildings with two way client interface during the setup phase of a project. By having clients involved in the actual computer design of their respective projects, the company is confident that the building design phase will be more accurate and efficient. The design program will use three dimensional capabilities to provide realistic renditions of specific projects. The integrated design will encompass mechanical, electrical, plumbing, sprinkler and low voltage overlays that the client can verify for accuracy. In addition, the computer program will provide costing for the project and develop shop drawings for each of the production departments. According to Martin, "We have finally come full circle with this effort in realizing the potential for computer aided designs that started three decades ago."
