Organizers are anticipating hundreds of attendees for the Spring Dallas Metro Antique Postcard & Paper Americana Show and Sale in Plano, TX, March 2, 3. This is the 2012 Edition of the Dallas Metro Postcard Club Spring Show and Sale, produced with the club by CourthouseSquare.net.

Organizers are anticipating hundreds of attendees over a two-day period when the Spring Dallas Metro Antique Postcard & Paper Americana Show and Sale hits Plano, TX, Friday and Saturday, March 2, 3. This is the 2012 Edition of the Dallas Metro Postcard Club Spring Show and Sale, produced with the club by CourthouseSquare.net.

Antique postcard and paper buyers and sellers will enjoy two days of shopping, selling and trading. Thousands of pre-1940, original historic photos and postcards of towns and historical events are sorted alphabetically by town and priced individually, or in lots. Additionally rare, vintage Halloween, Santa, patriotic and more are available at this event.

"This show and sale in Dallas is always one of our best attended by both vendors and shoppers," said Jim Taylor, show organizer and owner of Courthouse Square Antique Postcards. "If you love Americana and history or consider yourself a collector of art or photographs, you'll be glad you attend this show."

Buyers and sellers from seven states bring nearly a million antique postcards for sale at the Postcard and Paper Americana show. They also buy collections and accumulations and give free appraisals of most all vintage postcards, old photographs, and paper ephemera.

Vendors are bringing original historical photographs of Texas, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Arkansas, Oklahoma, Civil War, Western American, Route 66, mining, sports, political, maps, Native Americans, rodeo, movie, railroadiana, Oklahoma and Indian Territory, Victorian era, Kewpies, 101 Ranch, Border War and thousands of other topical and state view postcards. Other historical paper memorabilia and ephemera are also for sale.

Club members will be entering display boards of their collections in a competition for "Best of Show" award. A highlight will be a lifelong 30,000 postcard collection being broken up and offered for sale for the first time, including over 3000 different Texas views.

“Early bird” admission cost, available at 9 a.m., Friday is $5 and covers both days. Regular admission is $3 per person, and is available at 10 a.m.; it too covers both days.

Show times are 10 a.m. – 6 p.m., Friday, Mar 2, and 10 a.m. – 4 p.m., Saturday, Mar 3. The show is scheduled for Southfork Hotel, Hwy 75, 1600 North Central Expry Exit 29 (east), Plano, TX.
