. . . Two Ten Day is a way to unite the footwear industry and build awareness for others who may not be familiar with who we are and what we do.
Waltham, Mass. (PRWEB) February 01, 2012
Two Ten Footwear Foundation invites footwear professionals and companies to recognize and honor the Foundation’s 73-year history of philanthropy on February 10, 2012 (2/10), also known as Two Ten Day.
Two Ten Day celebrations have long been used by the industry as a way to build awareness about Two Ten Footwear Foundation and raise funds for shoe industry workers in need. In recent years, participating companies include Mark Lemp Footwear, Deer Stags and New Balance, with company fundraisers ranging from a simple “passing of the hat” to collect donations or a potluck lunch and auction, with proceeds going to Two Ten.
“Several thousand dollars was raised in recent years, and we’re confident the industry will again support the Foundation so that number will grow in 2012,” said Two Ten President Neal Newman.
“While so many of you show your support for Two Ten 365 days a year, Two Ten Day is a way to unite the footwear industry and build awareness for others who may not be familiar with who we are and what we do,” Newman added.
