Envirotest Systems Holdings Corp. (Envirotest) announced today that the State of Ohio, after completing its evaluation of a competitive bidding process, has awarded a contract to the company to operate a new decentralized vehicle emissions testing program in the Cleveland/Akron area. The term of the new contract begins on June 4, 2012 and runs through June 30, 2015 with potential cumulative renewal options through June 30, 2017, subject to and contingent upon the appropriation of funds for this contract by the Ohio General Assembly.
