Upstart Schubros Brewery Will Participate in Fundraising Activities, Initiatives to Support Families of Active Members of the Armed Forces and Those Who Lost Their Lives While Serving

Schubros Brewery, an upstart brewery focused on creating a bold epicurean experience, today announced a partnership with the East Bay Blue Star Moms and the Northern California Chapter of Gold Star Moms.

Working with these organizations, Schubros will be participating as a donor, sponsor and volunteer, offering its products and time to help out at various fundraising events. This includes a Gold Star reception to honor California’s fallen heroes and support the families left behind.

The partnership aligns well with Schubros’ core values of Community, Responsibility and Quality. Founded by Ian Schuster, U.S. Naval Academy graduate, former Surface Warfare Officer and veteran of foreign wars in regions including the Persian Gulf and Kosovo, Schubros Brewery is especially supportive of Blue and Gold Star Moms’ initiatives.

“Having friends who are no longer here, I’ve seen the hurt that it has caused for their families; so, the goals of the Blue and Gold Star Moms are very dear to me personally,” said Ian Schuster, president and CEO of Schubros Brewery. “Schubros is honored to offer our time and our beer – which is just a small token of our support -- to these worthwhile organizations.

“We are delighted to partner with Schubros Brewery,” said Luisa Oriti, president of East Bay Blue Star Moms. “Companies like Schubros make it possible for us to bring events like our Parents Weekend – the only one of its kind in California -- to our members and their families. It’s inspiring to work with veterans who continue to be of service through their support of our programs, which are invaluable to our community.
