Chicago, IL (PRWEB) February 01, 2012
On January 26, 2012, the Illinois Associate of Park Districts (IAPD) & the Illinois Park and Recreation Association (IPRA) presented its annual agency showcase at the Hyatt Regency Chicago. The competition recognizes Illinois park districts and agencies for their marketing and communication efforts ranging from print to multimedia.
Over 4,200 IPRA professionals, appointed officials and students attended the event. The event also hosted 200 educational sessions and 300 exhibitors. “It’s great to recognize park districts and agencies from across the state for promoting a healthy lifestyle and showcasing all that nature has to offer in Illinois,” states Solomon Thimothy, President and CEO of OneIMS. The Agency Showcase judging was a part of the larger IAPD/IPRA Soaring to New Heights Conference. The conference is a great recognition for the more than 400 park districts, forest preserves, conservation and recreational agencies in Illinois.
OneIMS, a premier print and marketing company in Chicago, was invited to judge entries in the Print Media category. Entries in this category ranged from print ads to post cards, booklets and newsletters. OneIMS judged over 60 entries in the print media category based on numerous criteria. From simple brochures to innovative print marketing pieces, the print media category offered a glimpse into the creativity and passion of the various park districts and agencies that entered the competition.
“We were delighted to participate in such an event. Given tight budgets and the economic stress that public services face today, it’s great to see that they work hard to market the many services they offer to the community,” added Thimothy. As guest judge, OneIMS offered insight and expertise to the print category. With over a decade of experience in the print industry, OneIMS provided constructive and fair judging of the various entries.
Entrants in the print advertisement were judged on the aspect of design, copy and call to action. Print communication entries were judged on originality, content and organization in addition to design. Scores from all participating judges, including OneIMS, were submitted for tallying. Winners will be presented with an award by the IAPD and IPRA.
“At OneIMS, we are committed to supporting local organizations and businesses. We look forward to using our expertise to give back to our community,” shares Thimothy.
