I've been given this lucky break, and we've done very well - better than I should have - and I just want to give back.

Two Ten Footwear Foundation made public an unrestricted $1 million gift from Steve and Wendy Madden. The Foundation views this donation as an opportunity to reach more people and increase the national impact of the foundation.
“I’ve met so many great people and been lucky that I love what I do,” Madden said. “I’ve been given this lucky break, and we’ve done very well — better than I should have — and I just want to give back.”
Through their donation, new and enduring relationships will be developed with the next generation of philanthropic leaders in the footwear industry.
Their donation, one of the largest personal gifts in Two Ten’s history, reflects the shared values of supporting community—the footwear community—with strength, hope and trust. The Maddens have a deeply personal commitment to Two Ten and have generously supported the Foundation for almost two decades.
“Steve and Wendy’s gift to Two Ten is their personal expression of compassion for the work we do, and for the shoe industry they love,” said Two Ten President Neal Newman.
