SWIRL Matchmaking, an online introduction agency with professional matchmakers for black women and white men, is pleased to announce the creation of a database, powered by Amazon, of U.S. movie box office titles that feature black women and white men as romantic interests.

SWIRL Matchmaking, an online introduction agency, helps black women and white men find a loving relationship by using professional matchmakers who carefully view member profiles. Adding a movie database is a natural progression of its services. Now, black women and white men who are interested in pursuing a loving relationship have access to a database of films that show this type of connection.

SWIRL Matchmaking’s creation of a movie database that portrays a black woman, white man relationship was driven to help members of the interracial community who might be struggling with the idea of dating a person of a different race. SWIRL Matchmaking’s CEO, Cella Nelson says, “Our database contains over 100 titles that feature black women and white men as romantic interests and the list is growing every day.” Amazon powers the database, so visitors can read detailed plot summaries and reader reviews and can purchase titles.

“We look forward to adding the recent box office hit, “Joyful Noise” (2012), starring Queen Latifah and Dolly Parton. The movie features an interracial relationship between Olivia (played by Keke Palmer) and Randy (Jeremy Jordan),” said Nelson. All titles in the database have appeared in U.S. theaters or made-for-TV productions. No titles are sexually explicit.

Nelson’s favorite interracial movie in the database is “Something New” (2006), a romantic comedy. “Although the movie was released back in 2006, blogs and chat rooms today continue to buzz about the what ifs of interracial dating as discussed in the film,” stated Nelson. The movie explores topics such as dating people who would normally be bypassed and what friends and family would think while delivering the message that chemistry and shared interest are more important than race.

SWIRL Matchmaking compiled the extensive database of films that show the black woman, white man relationship. The BW/WM movie database is available at Amazon provides the inventory, checkout and product delivery experience.
