The Quest PowerHeat CHH300 and CHH980 Central Hydronic Heaters are CSA/UL certified and designed to operate on multiple fuel sources. The burners utilize proprietary technology to ensure smooth, clean, cold-weather ignition and steady burn efficiency. Both the Quest PowerHeat CHH 300 and CHH980 are tri-fuel and a burner change is all that is required to convert from one fuel type to the other. All exposed components on PowerHeat CHHs are made of non-corrosive stainless steel and aluminum - no expensive refurbishment required. Unlike competitive units, the Quest combustion chamber is 100% stainless steel, making it corrosion-free as well, even when running in low temp applications such as concrete curing.
The PowerHeat CHH300 and CHH980 incorporate an open, atmospherically-vented expansion tank, which not only makes the units safer to operate, but effectively eliminates the systems from Pressure Vessel classification - there is no need for a pressurized boiler permit. Both Quest glycol systems are engineered for efficiency. As a result, the units will heat up faster, with less energy, and better utilize their powerful 300,000 and 980,000 BTUs. The 300’s 1HP and the 980’s 2 1-1/2HP stainless steel centrifugal pumps are all contaminant-free, keeping the glycol clean and safe to use on every job. Control Mother Nature even in the harshest of elements with the only fully NEMA rated electrical package included on every Quest Central Hydronic Heater.
For easy diagnostics, both heaters’ gauges and indicators are clearly visible, even when the unit is securely locked down. In addition to the standard temperature, pressure, fuel level, and heat transfer fluid (HTF) level gauges, the PowerHeat CHH 300 and CHH980’s control systems include a sequence of status indicator lights which provide a quick function check and easy troubleshooting. Finally, the lifting hook on both units and Quest Heat Exchangers allow the ultimate in flexibility in placing equipment on the job site.
