Washington State University recruits Seattle-based Profit Mastery to teach business students how to turn financial information into powerful decision-making management tools.

Finance can be a dry and intimidating subject. In the Profit Mastery world, finance is exciting, accessible, and enjoyable.

Starting this academic quarter, Washington State University is further distinguishing its highly ranked entrepreneurial program with a top-rated business financial literacy curriculum titled “Profit Mastery”. WSU’s Entrepreneur program has been recently ranked as one of the top 25 in the nation by Entrepreneur Magazine and the Princeton Review.

The new addition is the Seattle-based “Profit Mastery” curriculum which turns business finance into an intuitive, powerful, and enjoyable process. This proven eLearning curriculum has been used in the corporate world for years with organizations such as Harley Davidson, Deloitte, the Small Business Development Centers, the Entrepreneur’s Organization, and a number of leading banks and financial institutions. Recently, Universities such as Bradley University, the University of Washington, and WSU have been incorporating Profit Mastery into the core curriculum to ensure the business financial literacy of today’s graduates.

According to Profit Mastery Founder and Chairman Steve LeFever, many business people know how to “build or sell” their product or service, but precious few know the recipe to sustainable profitability. “It’s not the student’s fault. Finance can be a dry and intimidating subject. In the Profit Mastery world, finance is exciting, accessible, and enjoyable. When designing our proprietary curriculum, we made the information educational and motivational – plus we inject some humor in the process to make it truly enjoyable. We also designed Profit Mastery to be taken by virtually anyone. No prerequisite required. The bottom line from Profit Mastery is this: performance improves.”

According to Joe Harris, a faculty member of the Center for Entrepreneurial Studies and facilitator of the Profit Mastery course, “Profit Mastery helps us address a vital area of competency for our students – business financial literacy. Finance is the Achilles heel of far too many business people. Profit Mastery is a program that is immediately applicable and it gives the students the “what, where, when, why & how to” of building a sustainable business financial management system. “
