BlueVolt is pleased to announce its fourth quarter and 2011 business results.

“The strong relationships we’ve built in the building and construction trades over the last decade continue to expand and we’re looking forward to accelerated growth in 2012,” said Don Spear, BlueVolt president and CEO.

BlueVolt set another record for the number of new learners added to its Learning Management System (LMS) in a single quarter with 23,357 new users. This is a 25% increase over new users added in the third quarter and a 132% increase compared to the fourth quarter of 2010. In addition, 1,338 new online courses were added to the BlueVolt LMS, bringing the total number of courses available to 20,940.

BlueVolt also launched online Universities for two new customers in the fourth quarter: Nation Wide Local Contractors and Home Provider Network. BlueVolt’s online Universities provide a central hub for a company’s online training efforts and make it easy to train, track and reward participants.

The fourth quarter extended a strong year for BlueVolt, now in its 10th year of delivering online training throughout the building and construction trades. In 2011, BlueVolt added more than 68,000 new learners and ~3,800 new courses to its Learning Management System, which allows customers to deliver training content that educates and communicates a company’s messages to people throughout an entire industry. Learners enrolled in over 350,000 online courses – ranging from on-the-job safety courses to the latest product training from leading manufacturers – during the year.

BlueVolt’s unique incentive and rewards program allows learners to earn $BlueBucks™ as they successfully complete online courses and prove their knowledge. In the fourth quarter, BlueVolt awarded 116,124 $BlueBucks, bringing the total for 2011 to 402,819. $BlueBucks are instantly redeemable for virtual gift cards, which are valid at hundreds of online and retail businesses.

BlueVolt continually updates its Learning Management System to accommodate its customers’ feature requests and improve its overall user experience. In 2011, there were 29 releases with major new features and enhancements including a wizard to simplify course uploading and categorization and a mobile interface that provides access to interactive courses, quizzes and videos from most mobile devices, such as the iPad, iPhone and Android browsers.

In December, the company hosted its third, in-person BlueVolt Academy of the year. This program helps attendees learn to launch, market, and manage a successful elearning program.

“We are excited about the successes we achieved in 2011,” said Don Spear, BlueVolt president and CEO. “The strong relationships we’ve built in the building and construction trades over the last decade continue to expand and we’re looking forward to accelerated growth in 2012.”
