NCQA Excellent Accreditation is an important step in Florida Health Care Plans future growth as a Health Plan.
Daytona Beach, Florida (PRWEB) February 09, 2012
Florida Health Care Plans (FHCP) is proud to announce they have achieved ‘Excellent’ accreditation from the National Committee for Quality Assurance (NCQA). As one of only eight commercial Health Maintenance Organizations in the state of Florida to achieve the high honor of NCQA Excellent Accreditation, FHCP plans to use the honor as a reason to further raise the bar for their company and for other health plans in their community.
“NCQA Excellent Accreditation is an important step in Florida Health Care Plans future growth as a Health Plan.” says Dr. Wendy Myers, CEO of Florida Health Care Plans. “We are, and have been, focused on patient care, prevention and appropriate access to affordable health services in every aspect of our day to day business, and NCQA Excellent Accreditation is the fruit of our hard work for our members, business partners and local community.”
NCQA Health Plan Accreditation evaluates how well a health plan manages all parts of its delivery system -- physicians, hospitals, other providers and administrative services -- in order to continuously improve the quality of care and services provided to its members. The National Committee for Quality Assurance has awarded Florida Health Care Plans its highest accreditation status of Excellent for service and clinical quality that meet or exceed NCQA's rigorous requirements for consumer protection and quality improvement. HEDIS and CAHPS results are in the highest range of national performance.
