Jon Platt, President of EMI Music Publishing will be honored at the 8th Annual Bryan-Michael Cox/SESAC Brunch held during the Grammy Awards weekend in Beverly Hills, CA. Platt, recently named one of Billboard Magazine’s 2012 Power 100, is heralded for signing and developing the songwriting careers of some of the biggest names in music including Jay-Z, Usher and Kanye West.
“There’s nobody better than Jon Platt at doing what he does in publishing. He is without a doubt one of the most influential people in music. Whether you’re signed to EMI or not, he always looks out for young songwriters, he’s just an all around good person,” remarks music producer Bryan-Michael Cox.
SESAC and Bryan-Michael Cox established the brunch as a medium to celebrate the work of songwriters, producers and music executives who are interested in using their voice to inspire new songwriters. Past honorees include Sean “Diddy” Combs, Kaseem “Swizz Beatz” Dean and Jermaine Dupri.
