[...] the 3-D Dental Mock-up is a great tool. Patients can see and feel what the final outcome will be and they are able to communicate fine details of their design expectations.

Just like buying clothing, fine wine, or a car, it’s usually not enough to only see what something looks like from the outside—discerning individuals want to try-on, taste-test, or test-drive products before they invest in owning them. The same is true for your smile. That’s why Dr. Morgan’s specialized dental office has made it possible for people to literally try on a model of their proposed cosmetic or restorative treatment using a state-of-the-art technique: the 3-D Dental Mock-up.
By utilizing the latest dental technology, Dr. Morgan can provide patients with 3-D oral mock-ups of how their smile will look and feel before the procedure is completed. This process includes taking digital images, a mold of the patient’s teeth, and superior craftsmanship in the in-house laboratory (by Dr. Morgan himself). Patients can try on their new veneers or crown, before teeth are prepared or ground down.
Dr. Morgan says, “dental aesthetics are subjective, and I want to follow patients’ desires in developing their personalized treatment outcome. For this reason the 3-D Dental Mock-up is a great tool. Patients can see and feel what the final outcome will be and they are able to communicate fine details of their design expectations. This collaboration makes the treatment process more efficient and more accurate, and the likelihood of a pleasing outcome is maximized. Patients have peace of mind knowing how their final smile will look and feel before committing to the proposed treatment procedure.”
For Manhattan cosmetic dentist, Dr. Rudolf Morgan, the benefits of using an in-house lab are unmistakable. Compared to offices without a lab, patients can often have their procedure completed within the same day or with much shorter turnaround time, as well as more precise quality control through every step in the process. In addition, patients can have the satisfaction knowing that their procedure has been crafted by Dr. Morgan or skilled technicians utilizing the latest dental technology.
Dr. Morgan says, “I owned and operated my own laboratory long before I became a dentist. My prior training and added experience as a lab technician gives me an unusual edge among contemporary dental offices.” He added, “When I designed my dental office I specifically incorporated a dental laboratory on premises, as this gives me very close control of every step in patients’ treatment. Patients appreciate the level of cooperation and control they have because we can clearly address their concerns and desires. After (and even during) treatment, the patients have reason to smile!”
