Sunstorm Interactive CEO Anthony Campiti knows - his three year old software company has been a consistent success with 13 top ranked games including ICEE Maker, an app that hit the #1 overall position in the iTunes App Store and Cookie Dough Bites Factory with 1 million downloads in its first week. With more than 500,000 apps in the iTunes App Store , the "get rich quick" mentality of making and selling a hit app has become more and more rare. Competition is fierce, and developers are finding it takes more than just a good idea to succeed. One success story is Sunstorm Interactive, the development shop of gaming world veteran Anthony Campiti whose portfolio of apps has generated more than 75 Million downloads since joining the App Store 3 years ago. Today Sunstorm has announced it has now expanded into offering premium ad space inventory giving advertisers quick access to the eyes and spending power of their gamers.

"People ask me quite often what the recipe is for our success," says Campiti. Campiti cut his video game chops back in 1995 as the creator of the hit "Deer Hunter" arcade games, the first realistic 3D outdoor experience for the PC. After years of building PC games, he turned his eyes to the app world. "We went to apps because Apple has created an environment that cuts out the middle man. In the past, the only way to get in front of a consumer was through a large publisher, which meant sacrificing a level of control and profits. With apps, we are able to take our products directly to the consumer on a global basis. Frankly, its revolutionary!"

With 75 million downloads around the world, Sunstorm is delivering more than 250 million ad impressions every month. "Many of our apps are for kids, and we have found quite a bit of success in working with other developers of apps for children to promote their apps within ours using mobile banners" says Campiti. Sunstorm has been able to single handedly drive a number of apps into the top ranks of the app store. Sunstorm sells their ad space on a CPM and CPI basis.
