President Obama refuses to expose who he's rooting for today on Super Bowl Sunday. Yet, his supporters are clearly betting on a New England Patriots win according to a voice poll conducted by Saygent. The results show that 75% of Obama supporters believe the New England Patriots will win while 69% of the Republicans in the group are betting on the New York Giants.

Saygent asked a large group of people to predict the winner of the Super Bowl and went the extra step of asking them why. The responses were run through their patent-pending analysis engine to decipher who they picked and how knowledgeable they were about football. Applying a trust algorithm, the responses were weighted according to how well respondents backed up their claims.

This interactive infographic, http://saygent.com/labs/superbowl-2012/obama/, pits Obama fans against respondents that plan to vote for the Republican nominee in 2012. By clicking on the team icons, you can listen to a sampling of the respondents make and explain their predictions.

This trusted crowd bet takes sporting event predictions to new levels. It brings together the best of expert picks and the wisdom of the crowd. As opposed to traditional text polls, this method cuts out hometown bias and fan favorites while maintaining the benefits of averaging out the opinions of a large group of people.

Sorting by political preference was just one of the ways the results were presented. The entire crowd, not taking into account the voting plans of the respondents, is also betting on a New England Patriots win. Saygent's voice poll predicts a final score of 26 - 23.
