Last Friday was business as usual for the wine rack retailer, however a surprise phone call at the end of the day had everyone at Wine Rack Store buzzing through the weekend. The order for three 108 bottle modular wine racks, a popular selection for many customers, wasn’t anything out of the ordinary until owner Michael Kitson learned that they were to be used as props on an HBO television series, Treme.

The series which is set in a post-Katrina New Orleans, will make a great place to showcase the stores wine racks. “Working in this business, you hear a lot of great customer stories and talk to some really interesting people,” Said Kitson, “Orders like this are very exciting, it defiantly caught me off guard, our wine racks are going to be celebrities.”

Wine Rack Store is used to creating racks for all types of customers. For everyone from the novice collector to upscale dining establishments in cities like New York and Boston, so while orders like this are always a wonderful surprise, its not uncommon. “We are proud to have our wine racks be so widely used and enjoyed,” said Kitson, “Making all of our customers happy is number one.”

No word yet on where and how the wine racks will be used in the show and when the segment will air, but nevertheless, this order will go down in Wine Rack Store history as one of the neatest.
