Southern Virginia University has signed on to offer its students SAGE Tuition Advantage, an attractive 0% APR financing option.
The SAGE Tuition Advantage program is designed to help participating colleges increase net tuition revenue, lower discount rates and promote student retention.
“Southern Virginia University looks forward to using the SAGE Tuition Advantage loan product as an innovative college financing option that will benefit students and our university,” says John Brandt, Financial Aid Director at Southern Virginia University.
SAGE Tuition Advantage is an innovative “hybrid” program attractive to colleges because it is low cost for families (0% APR with earned benefits), generates cash flow for schools and provides third party loan management, relieving colleges of both administrative burden and compliance risk. Colleges make no capital investment and pay no up front costs.
Matt Scotty, President of National Education, says “We are pleased that Southern Virginia University has recognized the benefits of SAGE Tuition Advantage. As tuition prices continue to dominate the headlines, SVU joins a growing number of schools using this creative program as a solution.”
The program does NOT affect a college’s current cash flows from other sources, such as loans, federal aid, state aid and direct payment from families.
