MJB Wood Products takes green building materials to new heights.

The thing I like most about it, is how workable it is and it lasts

While most companies are focusing on cutting costs to create more green, MJB Wood Group is taking “Green” to all new levels. Partnering with A.E.R.T., a leading producer of composite building materials, MJB Wood Group has launched their new MoistureShield Exterior Trim and Moulding lines.

All of the products are produced from recycled polyethylene plastic resulting in composite products that are made from 95% recycled material. MJB Wood Group has developed a coating and priming process that improves the workability of the products and gives builders and architects a “truly green” solution.

“We have no problem specifying the MoistureShield products on all of our projects. Not only do these products have the same workability as wood, they last, they truly last,” said Peter Pfeiffer of Barley & Pfeiffer Architects, one of the nation’s leading green architects. Mr. Pfeiffer has been using the MoistureShield products on his projects in Texas for the last 10 years and has become a pioneer in the green building movement.

“We are really excited about MoistureShield. It gives builders an alternative to PVC products, in regards to plastic exterior trim. But, the workability of the products is far superior to PVC products,” said Scott Griggs of MJB Wood Products. “The substrate of these products has been tested over the last 10 years and the results are fantastic.”

MJB Wood Group has enhanced the MoistureShield line with their coating and priming element. By doing so, they have given builders more options. The exterior trim and moulding products are not limited to white. MJB’s priming solution allows builders and homeowners to paint the trim and mouldings and know that the paint is going to hold under normal circumstances.

Another unique attribute to the product is the workability. Builders are not required to use any special tooling to cut, drill, route or miter any of the products. This gives the builder the same flexibility as using a standard wood trim product, with the durability of a composite.

The Key Benefits to MJB Wood Products new MoistureShield Exterior Trim and Moudling:

  •     Workability
  •     Durability
  •     Insect Proof
  •     No Rotting
  •     Limited Lifetime Warranty
