The idea that people and businesses from across the construction industry can come together to learn and collaborate in order to improve educational building really exemplifies the principles that Construction Connection was founded upon.

The annual School and College Building Expo 2012 took place over January 24-26 at the Orange County Convention Center in Orlando, FL. The event drew over a thousand attendees, exhibitors, and sponsors together to discuss the latest information, trends, and products surrounding the emerging field of educational institution design and construction. Construction Connection, the burgeoning networking and job-matching platform for people in the construction industry, sponsored social media promotion for the expo and was represented at the event by co-founder Suzanne Breistol.

Construction Connection joined with eight other corporate sponsors and more than sixty exhibitors to help make the School and College Building Expo a great success. Breistol reflected on the event: “The idea that people and businesses from across the construction industry can come together to learn and collaborate in order to improve educational building really exemplifies the principles that Construction Connection was founded upon. We support any organization or event that works to build up the construction community so we can each do our jobs better, with maximum efficiency, and in an environmentally friendly way.”

As part of the sponsorship partner program, Construction Connection provided online exposure for the expo via their website, blog, newsletter, and social networking resources like LinkedIn, Facebook, and Twitter. To further the goal of becoming the premier industry resource for the construction community, Construction Connection is seeking other opportunities to partner with and promote construction expos, events, and educational programs.

Construction Connection was created out of a need for a more effective and streamlined way for construction industry professionals to get matched with the right industry jobs and with the right industry opportunities. The partners of Construction Connection, both industry professionals themselves, listened to both company and individuals’ dissatisfaction with the traditional job boards, the paid resume blasts, the overpriced resume services and overall lack of sympathy toward the individual candidate. We also listened to the dissatisfaction from companies who post jobs only to get many irrelevant results or having to purchase high priced ads to showcase their company. Construction Connection is a patent-pending, one-of-a-kind profile creating / match-making system. The system delivers effective results. Construction Connection saves you time, money and aggravation by matching people to people, people to companies, companies to people, and company to company.
