CoroFaith, a unique wellness product created by Coro Health providing audio-based spiritual and religious support to the long-term Care and Aging-in-Place communities, has named respected professionals representing a wide range of religious and academic credentials to its advisory board.
The board is headed by Carol Orsborn, Ph.D., executive director of CoroFaith, author of 20 books centering on the intersection between spirituality and life stage including The Art of Resilience and Fierce with Age.
Board members include Justine Willis Toms, Ph.D., co-founder and managing producer of New Dimensions Media/World Broadcasting Network and New Dimensions Radio; Robert L. Weber, Ph.D., Assistant Clinical Professor of Psychology in the Department of Psychiatry at Harvard Medical School, former Jesuit and founder of ContemplAgeing.com; Claire Haaga Altman, JD, MPA. CoroFaith, which launches February 20, draws from over 1000 hours of prayers, sermons, daily scripture, education, meditation and more from a broad spectrum of traditions and beliefs.
“We have attracted the highest caliber of support from researchers and practitioners who share our recognition of the positive correlation between continuity with one’s spiritual tradition and well-being, particularly as we age,” says David Schofman, CEO of Coro Health.
Coro Health’s CoroFaith offering is intended to both support and supplement the important work of pastoral care professionals, who frequently cite the challenge of stretching resources to meet the demand for individualized support to the broad range of religions and spiritual belief systems represented within the long-term care and aging-in-place community.
CoroFaith addresses this challenge through audio programming that provides individuals and groups with personalized support, interaction, and connection. Programming choices include top inspirational figures in religion, spirituality, and academia, such as Pastor Rick Warren, Mother Angelica, Dr. Bernie Siegel and Theodore Roszak. In all, CoroFaith provides access to 500,000 sermons from 12,000 religious communities.
“I’m gratified to have the support of this passionate and knowledgeable group of professionals on our board,” says Orsborn.
