Transact International expands with Contract Logistics Service To Shindand Air Base, Afghanistan.

Transact International, a.k.a. Transact Intermediaries, a New York based third party logistics provider, has begun the first non-military cargo charter service into the Shindand Air Base. The service is part of Transact’s overall Middle East concentration and supplements current operations at both the Bagram and Kandahar Air Bases in Afghanistan.

Company President and CEO, Thomas Anderson, of Long Island, New York, explained, “Our ability to successfully manage the complex and sensitive logistics needs of military support operations in theater has made us a leader in this market segment.” Taking risks in sensitive areas of the world have paid off for Transact as they expect to exceed $80 million dollars in revenues this year.

Transact offers service from JFK Airport with twice weekly flights to Sharjah and Dubai with on-forwarding flights into the Afghanistan Theater.

“While other logistics providers are downsizing in this poor economy,” Anderson reiterated, “we have found ways to grow.” Transact International is fast becoming one of the companies to watch in the field of logistics management and freight consulting.

Transact operates offices in Bohemia, NY, Boca Raton, FL, Dallas, TX and Dubai, UAE.
