Facebook-on allows family and friends no matter where they are in the world to play a role in supporting the user to maintain a stable and healthy weight.

Fat Creep™ just announced its new Facebook-on function which is designed to keep users motivated to get to and keep a healthy weight. Once logged into Facebook, every weight input triggers an automatic message to the user’s Facebook wall announcing their weight change since the last weigh-in (the actual current weight is not revealed).
“Running a small business is wonderful because customer feedback hits the decision makers almost immediately,” said founder Heather Katsonga-Woodward. “On the very day the app was launched on iPhone, iPad and Android the first comment was a request for an auto-feed to dating websites! I personally thought this wouldn’t work because weight is probably the last thing someone would want to reveal to a new beau or belle.”
Within a week of the launch more people mentioned how motivating a feed to Facebook would be. “I quickly realized that this was actually a serious request,” Katsonga-Woodward said. “During the test phase of Facebook-on my first update read ‘My weight has been stable since my last weigh-in on 3-Feb-12’ and it had four “Likes” and comments within an hour. I personally felt very encouraged to keep on living healthy.”
Many dieting programs including Weight Watchers have research showing that people who diet alongside a support network have a much better success rate. Fat Creep™ sees their Facebook-on feature as an extension of that: "It allows family and friends no matter where they are in the world to play a role in supporting the user to maintain a stable and healthy weight," Katsonga-Woodward commented.
Fat Creep™’s Facebook-on feature is only available to upgraded users. The in-app purchase costs a one-off fee of just $1.99 / £1.49 or the equivalent. An iPad 2 is up for grabs for one of the first 5,000 people to upgrade.
