'In Their Own Words' is an open and candid conversation with Daystar Retirement Village residents and families.

Daystar Retirement Village, a Seattle Retirement Community, announces today that it will host “In Their Own Words,” an open and candid conversation with Daystar Retirement Village residents and families on Wednesday, February 22nd at 5:00 p.m.

“Sometimes seniors think that by moving to a retirement community that their lives are over and that this is the nursing home of their parent’s generation. We all know that isn’t true. Everyone moves here for their own personal reasons, but there is definitely a common thread woven thru these stories,” said Wanda Daudet, general manager of Daystar. “I often hear how people’s lives have been changed for the better and how they wished that they would have moved in sooner.”

Attendees will be able to sort the facts from the fiction as they hear first-hand how happy Daystar residents are and how relieved their children are now that they don’t have to worry about Mom and Dad if something happens in the middle of the night. A light dinner will be served.

This event is open to the public and is free of charge. Attendees must RSVP three days in advance of the event.
