Hilton Head Island, SC (PRWEB) February 10, 2012
Some things just go together: Peaches and cream. Peanut butter and jelly. Milk and cookies. That’s how well the new OceanGuard Aluminum Series line of roofing goes with the new location Gulf Coast Supply & Manufacturing, LLC, (http://www.GulfCoastSupply.com) opened to serve Florida’s Treasure Coast.
“Gulf Coast Supply is a leader in manufacturing metal roofing and components, serving all of Florida and Southern Georgia,” says the company’s Vice President Jonathan Sherrill. “Gulf Coast provides durable, economic and attractive products for the growing demand of metal roofing.”
Gulf Coast’s newest product, OceanGuard, is a perfect fit for the Treasure Coast, whose communities stretch like a string of pearls from Hobe Sound and Jupiter in the south to Sebastian in the north and include Port St. Lucie, Fort Pierce, and Vero Beach. GCS will serve that area and more from its facility at 8701 SW Old Kansas Ave., in Stuart.
In addition to being a visual advertisement of Gulf Coast Supply’s metal building offerings, the 7,000-square-foot manufacturing facility in Stuart is conveniently located near Interstate 95 and Florida’s Turnpike. It offers Gulf Coast’s full line of products, including the OceanGuard Aluminum Series, which made a big splash during its introduction at the FRSA Roofing and Sheet Metal Expo.
“OceanGuard is attractive, durable and energy-efficient,” says Ray Bowen, Gulf Coast Supply’s Director of Sales and Corporate Development, who has been with the company for 12 years
Bowen’s key points regarding the new roofing product’s durability include:
Setbacks – There is no specific setback requirement regarding distance from breaking surf or salt-water shoreline.
Saltwater – OceanGuard has a 25-year anti-corrosion warranty.
Coating – Kynar 500, known for its color retention, offers superior weatherability and resistance to corrosion.
Yet, for all of its inherent advantages, Bowen said OceanGuard is still cost-effective. He noted that metal roofing is longer lasting compared to shingles and has a higher re-sale value. Plus, it’s more energy-efficient – “a lot higher reflectively” – which is especially important in Florida, he said. Also, “Metal has one of the highest wind ratings,” he added.
And, finally, Bowen called OceanGuard “environmental conscious” because it’s ‘100 percent recyclable,” as well as being made from partially recycled material.
In addition to being available at the Stuart facility, Bowen noted that OceanGuard is also at the GCS, Alachua, a 7,000-square-foot manufacturing facility at 14480 NW US Highway 441, just off Interstate 75 in Alachua County, as well as the company’s headquarters, 4020 SW 449th Street, Horseshoe Beach, FL 32648, in Dixie County, from which GCS serves Florida, Georgia, South Carolina, Alabama and the Caribbean.
VP Sherrill adds this thought: “For 16 years, customers across the Southeast have trusted Gulf Coast Supply as a manufacturer of premium quality metal roofing,” he said. “My dad and uncle built Gulf Coast Supply from scratch based on principles of honesty, customer appreciation, premium products and fair prices. These values are in full display in our new location in Stuart.”
As with staff members at its main headquarters in Horseshoe Beach, Sherrill said employees at both the Alachua and Stuart locations are steeped in Gulf Coast Supply’s tradition of customer service and product knowledge, including its newest product – the OceanGuard Aluminum Series line of roofing.
