Timberwolf Manufacturing Creates “Reversible” Skid Steer Log Splitter

Timberwolf Manufacturing has been building high end commercial log splitters for many years and has been a leader in log splitter innovation. To add to their extensive line of log splitters they have created a machine that has all the features of a regular log splitter combined with a specialized skid steer splitter.

Skid Steer log splitters are nothing new. In fact, Timberwolf has offered one for many years now, but they have been limited to either picking up logs on the ground and splitting them, or simply being a traditional horizontal log splitter mounted on a skid steer.

Timberwolf CEO, David Therrien said “The company decided to rethink the skid steer unit and we asked ourselves, what would be the ideal skid steer log splitter?” Someone said “Why don't we make a regular splitter that flips over? We all kind of looked at each other and knew that was an idea worth pursuing”.

In the months that followed, the TW-3SSR was born. In its upright position it functions as a regular horizontal hydraulic log splitter. To maximize production, Timberwolf also offers their table grate and 4-way wedge as options. In just a couple of minutes, the operator can flip the splitter over and then use it to pick up logs on the ground, position them over a woodpile or truck and split them in one motion...all from the cab of the skid steer.
