WV Secretary of Commerce to Join Steptoe & Johnson at NAPE Expo

Secretary Keith Burdette and staff to join firm attorneys at world’s largest oil and gas expo.

West Virginia Secretary of Commerce and West Virginia Development Office Director Keith Burdette and his staff will be the honored guests of Steptoe & Johnson PLLC at several functions during the 2012 Winter NAPE Expo in Houston, TX later this month.

Secretary Burdette will travel to the expo to promote the state to the thousands of energy professionals that gather for the event. Plus, representatives from the development office will be on the NAPE exhibit floor touting the advantages of doing business in West Virginia. They will be located at booth 1257.

Thirteen members of the Steptoe & Johnson energy, environmental, government affairs and litigation teams will also be in attendance. They will be located at booth 2497.        

Steptoe & Johnson Government Affairs Coordinator Gil White was instrumental in bringing the secretary to NAPE. “This event gives us a rare opportunity to showcase the wealth of business opportunities that the mountain state has to offer,” said White. “Secretary Burdette is a great ally and we look forward to the possibilities our collaboration brings.”    

NAPE is the world’s largest expo and marketplace for the oil and gas industry. The NAPE Expo will be held on February 23-24 at the GRB Convention Center in Houston.
