New Roles for Mike Dow, Steve Davis, and Tom Daniels Reflect Company's Commitment to Premier Client Services

“As we continue to serve a dynamic range of client needs and market conditions in our West division, experienced leadership is crucial in delivering services and maximizing opportunities for expansion,” declared Terry Danner, Riverstone’s president.

Riverstone Residential Group, one of the largest privately-owned, third-party multifamily property management companies in the United States, announces three key leadership promotions in the company's client services group and west division.

Mike Dow has been promoted to the newly created position of chief client services officer, a role that will capitalize on his longstanding expertise of West Coast multifamily client needs. Dow will be responsible for pursuing portfolio opportunities and supporting regional client services teams as they assist clients with acquisitions, underwriting, due diligence, development and redevelopment consulting, critical asset reviews, market snapshots, requests for management services proposals, and capability presentations on high value single assets and portfolios. In his former role as division president, West, for Riverstone, Dow delivered exceptional occupancy and net operating income at more than 400 communities and 80,000 apartment homes across a region including California, Washington, Oregon, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, and New Mexico. He has more than 25 years of real estate experience.

“Mike has a solid track record of establishing extraordinary confidence with Riverstone clients, who have long benefited from his insights into occupancy and revenue generation strategies,” confirmed Terry Danner, Riverstone’s president. “He is uniquely qualified to make an immediate impact on asset performance by proactively assessing, creating, and deploying a wide range of client-centered solutions.”

Lisa Skochdopole, senior vice president for client services, will work directly with Dow and continue to play an integral role in maximizing consistency, innovation, reporting quality, and transparency in Riverstone’s client services programs. In addition, Lisa will be developing and enhancing a client relationship program to augment the communication and service our local teams provide. Dow and Skochdopole will work jointly with all three Riverstone divisions, ensuring that the client services group promotes and executes value-focused services nationwide and reducing property operators’ transitional workload for maximum community operating efficiency.

Steve Davis has been promoted to the division president, West, position, and will assume responsibility for liaising with property owners and operational teams to achieve strategic revenue goals and ensure exceptional client and resident experiences. In his former capacity as Riverstone’s executive vice president for the Oregon and Desert regions, Davis oversaw operations for 26,000 apartment homes and 160 communities. He has over 15 years of experience in successfully operating multifamily real estate on the West Coast and is licensed as a real estate broker in Oregon and Montana. Julie Hurst, a senior vice president who worked steadfastly to build the Riverstone brand in the Desert region, will continue to report directly to Davis.

To assist Davis in his new role and provide continuity in the Pacific Northwest, Tom Daniels will expand his executive vice president responsibilities to include the Oregon region, in addition to his current oversight duties for the Northwest and Inland Northwest regions. Daniels, a 15-year veteran of the multifamily industry with extensive experience in portfolio operations, is a board member for the Washington Multifamily Housing Association and chairperson of its strategic planning committee, and holds a broker’s license in the state of Washington. Lisa Nerheim, senior vice president for Oregon and Vancouver, Washington, will remain dedicated in the region and report directly to Daniels.

Rounding out Riverstone’s strong West Coast presence, Stephen Winsby, executive vice president, will work closely with Davis and continue to provide exceptional operational oversight for Riverstone’s expansive California portfolio

“As we continue to serve a dynamic range of client needs and market conditions in our West division, experienced leadership is crucial in delivering services and maximizing opportunities for expansion,” declared Terry Danner, Riverstone’s president. “The contributions made by Mike, Steve, and Tom, in conjunction with their skilled local associates, have propelled Riverstone’s remarkable West Coast growth, and they will prove invaluable in strengthening Riverstone’s foothold in new and existing markets.”
