Online neck and bow tie retailer Bow-n-Ties.com today named the best dressed cities in the United States. The men’s accessories stalwart, which recently published a list of worst dressed American cities, has now turned its attention, to the cities that do it right.

“While in many American towns it seems people are attempting to look like a floral-print sofa when they dress, there are pockets of America where people actually know what they’re doing fashion-wise,” said Europe-born Bows-n-Ties.com founder Hendrik Pohl.

Number five on Bows-n-Ties.com’s list of best dressed American cities is Dallas, Texas. From the moment one arrives at the Dallas airport, he is greeted by cowboy hats, well-fitting jeans and some spectacular belt buckles. This is outlaw country, after all, and the fashion reflects that. For doing it their own way, Bows-n-Ties.com salutes Dallasites.

Taking the number four spot is a city known for its art deco architecture, brilliant nightlife and excellent Cuban food--Miami, Florida. In this always hot seaside town, men tend to go for a cool, breezy look à la Miami Vice. Don a crisp white suit and one of Bows-n-Ties.com’s turquoise blue neck ties and do the Cuban mambo to fit in with the locals.

Charleston, South Carolina is Bows-n-Ties unlikely choice for third best dressed American city. Charleston is full of dapper southern gentlemen. There’s an element of old-fashioned class and men take great pride in their appearances. Get the patriotic Charleston look with one of Bows-n-Ties.com’s red, white and blue ties.

Los Angeles, California, named the second best dressed town in America, is all about camera-ready celebs who can and do spend a fortune to look good for the paparazzi. While not every man in America can afford a personal stylist, they all can afford some of Bows-n-Ties.com’s fabulous men’s accessories. Finishing touch items like men's ties, cuff links, ascots and tie bars start at prices as low as $19.90.

As in most departments, Los Angeles plays second fiddle to the city so nice, they named it twice. New York, New York is undoubtedly the fashion capital of America and Bows-n-Ties.com’s choice for number one best dressed city. High fashion meets low in the Big Apple. A veritable who’s who of American style icons got their start in New York, including Calvin Klein, Donna Karan, Halston, Tommy Hilfiger, Betsy Johnson, Patricia Field and up-and-comers like Proenza Schouler. Whether the look is 70s East Village punk rocker, 80s SoHo yuppie, 90s downtown Bohemian, dot-com era uptown extravagance or today’s Brooklyn cool, New Yorkers are always puttin’ on the ritz.
