Winning on the field relies heavily on preparation and training off the field.
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) February 10, 2012
XOS Digital, Inc., a global provider of sports video technology, today announced a technology correlation among three of its national championship football partners, which the teams attribute as a shared game-prep success factor. The New York Football Giants, the University of Alabama Crimson Tide and the North Dakota State Bison all “live” in the XOS Thunder™ video editing platform for game preparation and analysis.
After winning Super Bowl XLVI, the Giants landed a spot as the third championship team to use digital video technology for game strategy analysis among XOS Digital’s Thunder football partners. The team also earned the title as the third consecutive XOS partner to win the Super Bowl.
“Many of our experienced team members have worked in sports previously and understand its unique challenges,” said Chris McCleary, CEO, XOS Digital. “The XOS Thunder digital video editing system is the result of many years of time and development from our coaching specialists. We’re pleased to see how our successful team partners are finding value from its use.”
The NY Giants join the University of Alabama in the Football Bowl Subdivision and North Dakota State University in the Football Championship Subdivision in their championship victories within its respective league.
“Winning on the field relies heavily on preparation and training off the field,” said Dave Maltese, video director, New York Giants. “XOS Thunder’s technology enables our entire staff to maximize the hours in any given week leading up to a game. The system’s technology served as a backbone to help our coaches prepare for each practice and opponent in the most effective manner.”
The Giants also use a variety of other technologies for training, game preparation and analysis. For example, the team uses the XOS Coaches Command Station™ and the XOS InTouch™ system. The two in-venue technology components are designed to work along with XOS Thunder to achieve greater workflow efficiency for the Giants. The team had previously incorporated these in-venue components into its player meeting rooms, conference rooms, locker rooms and coaches’ offices.
More than 110 teams in the NFL and NCAA use XOS Thunder. The system is designed to enable coaching staffs with efficiency and enhanced teaching abilities so teams can perform more effectively on the practice field. The XOS Thunder platform enables coaches to view and edit game video, view recruiting and scouting video and data, prepare for the draft, and monitor athlete performance training and rehabilitation, all within one application.
