The voice of the Wildcats wins Kansas’ Sportscaster of the Year award from the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters association. KansasStateCars is proud of the acknowledgement.

Wyatt Thompson, a Kansas State University staple since 2002 was recently named the 2011 Kansas Sportscaster of the Year by the National Sportscasters and Sportswriters Association. This is a huge honor for Thompson and the Kansas State community and KansasStateCars.com, KSU’s premier Manhattan car dealership is very proud of this honor.

Thompson is with his 10th year as the play-by-play voice of the Kansas State Wildcats. He began broadcasting in 1976 for high schools, colleges and universities in Kansas and worked in radio and television as well. In 2002 Thompson came to Kansas State from Colorado State, where he was the broadcaster for their football and men’s basketball teams for five years.
