Leading association for independent foodservice consultants kicks off PR program

FCSI-The Americas has announced the appointment of the Pete Wiltjer Marketing Group (PWMG Inc.) as its public relations agency. PWMG, a marketing communications firm in Aurora, IL, will manage public relations activities across the United States, Canada, and Latin America for this leading association known for representing independent foodservice consultants.

For more than 50 years, FCSI-The Americas has helped its members enhance their professionalism by keeping them informed of the latest developments and trends in the foodservice industry, by providing continuing education and serving as a vital link to the various retail and non-commercial (institutional) industry components.

Wade Koehler, executive director of FCSI-The Americas, said PWMG was chosen following a competitive selection process involving public relations agencies from across the U.S.

“The PWMG team demonstrated a solid understanding of our association, its membership and the public relations opportunities open to FCSI-The Americas,” Koehler said. “With PWMG’s experience across new media channels, there is tremendous opportunity for us to capitalize on the digital space to promote FCSI-The Americas and raise awareness in the foodservice industry about the great things we are doing for our members, the independent foodservice consultants,” he said.

PWMG principal Pete Wiltjer said, “We are thrilled to be working with FCSI-The Americas as a strategic partner. Wade and his team have helped create the most attractive industry association for any independent foodservice consultant in the U.S., Canada and Latin America, and we are honored to be able to help advance their efforts to serve these talented professionals.”

PWMG’s work will focus on strategic media outreach, social media and progressive advocacy for the association.
