We listen with an awareness of, or a conjecture of listeners who are sharing this experience with us. Miracles create communities. -Paul Williams

MoodMusic, the ever expanding start-up out of Austin, Texas, is a Social Internet Radio App where everyone is a DJ. Users create the radio station, the Social Jukebox, by using the iDJ feature. Then, users sort the Social Jukebox by the different genres they wish to hear. The Social Jukebox is constantly updating, guaranteeing listeners a fresh and exciting music experience every time. Instead of listening to a repetitive play list, derived from a mathematical equation, tune in to the MoodMusic community and hear what real people are listening to! MoodMusic has spent the last year creating and testing a beta version of the iPhone app and have revamped the app based on suggestions from users. The proceeds gained from the Kickstarter site will be used to market the app, build an iPad app, re-code the Facebook app, create a MoodMusic portal, and add features to the current products that users want and deserve.
"Music has been an enormous part of the human experience. It shapes cultures and societies and is truly one of the greatest forms of human expression. Most music providers force you to listen to music THEY think you will like. Others give you a massive library and leave it up to you to sort through the millions of songs. Everyone has friends that they go to for their music because not all of us have the time to seek out the next big hit or artist we will really enjoy. With MoodMusic, friends can connect with the music community to discover new music together.” Ryan Pierce
MoodMusic was one of the first apps to allow you to post music to your Facebook wall and to send a song directly to a friend's wall for everyone to hear. "We spent a lot of time and money coding the app in the required FBML language, but due to Facebook's new rules, we must recode the app into the more customary coding languages. Part of the proceeds from our kickstarter page will be used to translate the app to the new code in order to relaunch our platform on our facebook application. In the short time we were running, we had over 20,000 users and were growing at such a rapid rate that when we advertised, our servers were shutting down due to the enormous amount of traffic. With your help, MoodMusic can bring the Facebook app back, continue to improve music discovery for our growing user base, build an iPad app, and advertise our services to future users.” Daniel McGurk
