Twitter Sparks an “Occupy the Heart” Movement

Inspired by a Twitter-born Valentine’s Day phenomenon, an “Occupy the Heart” movement—based on I. J. Weinstock's “The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook: A 30-Day Heaven-Sent Program to Create More Love in Your Life”—hopes to launch a “Love-olution” to create a “United States of Love.”

I'm mining my life for the gold of the things I love and feel as if I'm growing richer every day. They say it takes 28 days to create a new habit. I’ve created a habit of seeing my life through “love-colored glasses” and the view is amazing!

On New Year’s Eve, Los Angeles-based author I. J. Weinstock made a resolution that just might change the world. He resolved to “beat the drum for love” via Twitter and to make 2012 The Year of Love. That resolution and his Twitter account @SoulmateGuider became the basis for “The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook: A 30-Day Heaven-Sent Program to Create More Love in Your Life” which he’s been giving away as a free Valentine’s Day gift.

According to Weinstock, the response has been overwhelming. “I believe an Occupy the Heart movement is as important as Occupy Wall Street. People are inspired by the possibility of joining a Love-olution.”

The inspiration for this “Occupy the Heart” movement comes from the most unlikely place—the Afterlife. Weinstock’s New Year’s Eve resolution was the result of a supernatural encounter with his late wife, Joy. This wasn’t the first time he’d experienced communication with the Afterlife according to his recently published memoir, “JOYride: How My Late Wife Loved Me Back To Life.”

During a New Year’s Eve drum circle, he once again heard from Joy. This time she asked him a question—"What do you love?" The answer to that question has become for Weinstock “a key to opening the treasure chest of my life.” On January 1, 2012, he began “beating the drum for Love” on Twitter, answering Joy’s question by declaring daily all the things he loved. To his surprise, he soon discovered that it had a “magical effect.”

He explained it this way: “Quantum physics and metaphysics both suggest that whatever you put your attention on, expands. So by daily declaring my love, beating the drum for all that I love, I was casting a spell—a Quantum LoveSpell—that actually grew the love in my life!”

In his book, Weinstock quotes Oprah to explain this Quantum LoveSpell effect. “Because what you focus on expands, when you focus on the goodness in your life, you create more of it.”

With his daily declarations, Weinstock says, “I'm mining my life for the gold of the things I love and feel as if I'm growing richer every day. They say it takes 28 days to create a new habit. I’ve created a habit of seeing my life through “love-colored glasses” and the view is amazing!”

To inspire others the way Joy inspired him, Weinstock has been giving away his book—"The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook: A 30-Day Heaven-Sent Program to Create More Love in Your Life"—as a Valentine’s Day gift. He describes it as “a simple yet powerful practice that will benefit anyone who wants to grow the love in their life. If whatever you focus on grows, why not focus on what you love!”

Like many others, Weinstock believes 2012 will be a year of great significance. “It’s supposed to be a year of transformation. Some believe in Apocalypse, others in Ascension. But I believe that we’re in the midst of a Quickening. The pace of change is accelerating so fast that at least metaphorically 'it’s the end of the world as we know it.' We need a North Star to guide us through these profound upheavals that are rocking civilization’s boat. And our most reliable compass is our capacity to love.”

The author hopes his little Handbook can make a big difference. “I’m Casting a Quantum LoveSpell on myself and hopefully through 'The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook' on others. And the response has been incredible.”

Weinstock believes in the power of love and he quotes the philospher, Teilhard de Chardin In "The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook": “Some day, after we have mastered the winds, the waves, the tides and gravity, we shall harness the energies of love. Then, for the second time in the history of the world, mankind will have discovered fire.”

Weinstock admits he likes to dream big. Years ago he created a new cable network that became the precursor to GSN (The Game Show Network). He’s also fond of the motto: If it’s worth doing, it’s worth overdoing. “When it comes to love, it’s worth overdoing,” he says. “My New Year’s Resolution was to beat the drum for love to make 2012 The Year of Love. My Valentine’s Day wish is to seed an 'Occupy the Heart' movement which inspires a 'Love-olution' and creates a 'United States of Love' that eventually heals the world.”

I. J. Weinstock lives in Los Angeles and is the author of "The Quantum LoveSpell Handbook" and a memoir, "JOYride: How My Late Wife Loved Me Back To Life."
