Escape Events, organisers of The Telegraph CRUISE Show, have appointed rhc advantage, the UK’s only independent over-50’s marketing agency to develop sponsorship and new exhibitor acquisition.

With exhibitions in London, Birmingham, Glasgow and Düsseldorf, the CRUISE Shows are Europe’s largest consumer cruise showcases with the UK events collectively attracting 50,000 visitors. Each show is supported by a heavyweight advertising, marketing and PR campaign, making it an exceptional sponsorship opportunity for companies who wish to engage with a discerning audience of hard to reach consumers aged 50 and over.

Figures show that around 20 million people are expected to take cruises in 2012, with Europe and North America accounting for around 86 per cent of worldwide passengers – many of whom are aged over 55.

rhc advantage is the UK’s only independent marketing agency to specialise in older, more mature, audiences. Mark Beasley, managing director, comments “The data shows that many over 50’s have the time and money to spend on luxury goods, expensive meals and out-of-season holidays”. Mark goes on to say “The Telegraph CRUISE Show is the ideal platform for companies wishing to position themselves alongside the world’s leading cruise operators, whilst connecting with mature, affluent and influential consumers in a LIVE marketing environment”

Martin Anslow, managing director and CRUISE Show organiser, commented: “Cruise travel is still a growing interest among British holiday makers and offers an incredible range of choice with outstanding value. We look forward to working with rhc advantage to develop partnerships with companies who want to engage with this dynamic and fast growing industry. We view this as an opportunity not limited to the travel trade and have an open mind towards working with new companies outside of the sector too.”
