As companies struggle to trasmit unpredictable demand drivers to the shop floor, extending the message to the right employees becomes a critical cost differentiator for operations.

ScheduleSoft today unveiled Notify™, a powerful new two-way notification system that sends and receives phone calls to manage employee schedule changes and notify the schedule administrator and all affected employees. The built-in, subscription-based service follows the predefined scheduling rules and employee preferences to automatically trigger the call-out notifications. Using Notify, employees can call in to check their schedules, notify work of an absence and receive calls concerning overtime assignments and time-critical group notifications. The software gives the scheduler visibility to any absences or overtime assignment gaps that need to be addressed.

How it works

  • Employees manage their personal information and prioritize how and where they want to receive notifications through the ScheduleSoft Employee Self-Service Kiosk.
  • The ScheduleSoft application determines the required coverage for each position based on the configured rules and employee preferences and availability.
  • ScheduleSoft Notify contacts the selected candidate to confirm his/her availability to perform the work.
  • Notify confirms the assignment or prompts the scheduler to find the next-best candidate.

“What makes Notify different from other systems is that it has ScheduleSoft’s powerful workforce scheduling engine behind it so the scheduling rules are what drive the specific notifications,” said Gregory Flessas, Founder and CEO of ScheduleSoft. “As companies struggle to transmit unpredictable demand drivers to the shop floor, extending the message to the right employees becomes a critical cost differentiator for operations. With this type of demand volatility an automated notification system is becoming critical to business operations.”

ScheduleSoft Notify is a subscription-based service that is built-in to the ScheduleSoft application and can be quickly and easily activated to provide powerful two-way notification for demand-driven scheduling environments.
