“[This book] is like watching reality television and being able to walk with someone, possibly going through similar hurts or wounds, and being able to see how God transformed someone’s life during the process is important.”

Opening up a personal journal to the world and allowing others to see it is a daring act of bravery. Michael Stosic has done just that with his new book, One Summer on Mitchell Bay ($11.99, paperback, 978-1-61996-176-0). The author makes himself completely transparent to his readers in his thirty-nine day journal, which allows others to see his personal journey with God; his struggles, feelings and innermost thoughts are present at the turn of every page.
“What I hope people get from reading my book is that by making myself transparent to the people [through the act of] opening up my personal journal and letting them see what took place in my life during this journey with God that they would find hope for themselves too [if they are] going through there own hurts or wounds,” states the author. “[This book] is like watching reality television,” and being able to walk with someone, possibly going through similar hurts or wounds, and being able to see how God transformed and healed them during the process is important.
Michael Stosic has been a Christian recording artist for several years and his songs have played on radio stations around the world. One of his songs, “Remember The Cross” finished in the Top 50 on the Gospel Music National Top 100, and his new worship album “Worthy of all Glory” is due for release in early 2012. He has traveled to Africa numerous times for worship concerts and training worship teams in Zimbabwe. Stosic will be doing workshops at churches around the country taking people through the healing process from his book.
