Fresh off growth year, improvement firm pursues new market opportunities

Trissential, a business improvement consulting firm, announced that it has expanded its presence in Chicago and launched a supply chain management (SCM) practice. Trissential, based in Minneapolis with offices in Wisconsin, experienced more than 20 percent revenue growth in 2011 – on top of 60 percent in 2010 – and continues to build through new expansion strategies.

“Our engines are revved and we’re pushing toward another growth year in 2012. We’ve done our research, listened to clients and pounced on two new opportunities – Chicago and supply chain management,” said Keith Korsi, who along with Michael Vinje is a cofounder of Trissential.

“We’re filling a real gap for consulting services in Chicago. Our down-to-earth approach to improving clients’ businesses is a refreshing change from the metro area’s litany of big five firms and staffing companies,” Vinje added. “And our SCM practice rounds out Trissential’s enterprise applications offering, strengthening our ability to service Fortune 500 companies in the Midwest – from their project management office to warehouse inventory management.”

Expansion to Chicago

Founded in 2003 in Minneapolis, with the addition of a Milwaukee office shortly thereafter, Trissential is deep-rooted in the Midwest. Home base to more than 25 Fortune 500 companies, Chicago was a natural extension and attractive option for the company as it looked to expand geographically.

Trissential has received numerous awards and accolades for its workplace and unique approach to business improvement in the areas of strategy, management and execution. In 2011, Trissential was named an Inc. 5000 company for the third year in a row, and was honored as a “Top 100 Workplace” by the Star Tribune. In 2010 and 2009, the company was one of the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal’s “Best Places to Work.” Essentialists – Trissential’s term for its consultants – provide mid-tier and large organizations with expertise which includes project portfolio management, business analysis, strategy and leadership, business architecture, and enterprise resource planning.

Trissential is aggressively recruiting top talent in Chicago and boasts a growing list of Chicago-based clients, including Underwriters Laboratories and Northwestern Medical Faculty Foundation.

Game-changing Approach to Supply Chain Management

Trissential has formalized a supply chain management practice within its existing enterprise applications group to enhance services offered to current and prospective clients across a multitude of industries.

Craig Thielen, principal and vice president of consulting commented, “Today’s business environments are more volatile and unpredictable than ever, and having an adaptive, nimble supply chain is critical.” Thielen added, “Our supply chain strategies couple sound, time-tested principles with game-changing thinking to help clients cut costs and grow revenues. And the best part – these innovative supply chain improvements are self funding.”
