New software allows researches to collaborate globally

MDDX, a provider of biomedical research software and services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and medical device industries today announced the release of DataRamp. The DataRamp application allows any size research study to expand its data collection systems globally; instantly avoiding the need for slow, error-prone data entry or expensive IT teams.

As part of MDDX’s multicenter platform, DataRamp is a fully hosted, turnkey solution that enables researchers to build their own online case report form (eCRF), authorize users, and collect their data in a fully secured environment. DataRamp utilizes a simple drag-and-drop interface, customizable graphics and digital electronic signature capabilities. Data entry can be conducted via the web or mobile devices.

“Historically, researchers would have to pay a small fortune to an IT team or CRO to build an online data collection system for them. DataRamp saves valuable research funds by empowering the researchers with simplistic tools to build their online webform and disseminate it globally in a matter of minutes,” said Dan Gebow, CEO of MDDX.

A 21CFR compliant solution, DataRamp creates an unalterable audit trail that is automatically stored in MDDX’s archiving service known as DataVault. DataRamp and DataVault are currently being used in 8 studies in 6 countries, including Argentina, Egypt and India.

“Researchers work long hours under incredible pressure for results with limited funding. The last thing they need is an IT headache or compliance violation. DataRamp and DataVault make it easy to scale your study without all the hassles”, stated Bill Shea, MD Co-founder of MDDX.
