We’re encouraging families to treat their home region as a holiday destination and take a few days away to have fun, relax together and experience the natural attractions their area has to offer.

Temperatures have plummeted, but one company is giving families a holiday pick-me-up with the launch of £15 per person short breaks across the UK.
BreakFree Holidays has launched thousands of £15 per person short breaks at more than 130 holiday parks in popular seaside destinations in England, Wales and Scotland.
Families can book a break along the Olympic Torch route to catch a site of the historic journey, mark the bicentenary of Charles Dickens by using their £15pp stay as a chance to catch up on one of the great author’s novels or celebrate the 60th birthday of the North Yorkshire Moors National Park, which was first established in 1952.
Parks with Royal connections will prove popular in the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee year and the BreakFree Holidays sale includes £15pp stays at sites within easy reach of historic Leeds Castle in Kent, Dover Castle and Alnwick Castle in Northumberland.
“We’re encouraging families to treat their home region as a holiday destination and take a few days away to have fun, relax together and experience some of the amazing natural attractions the area close to them has to offer,” says Jo Taylor, marketing managing at BreakFree Holidays.
As well as great locations, holiday parks have the added benefit of a wide range of leisure facilities, often including indoor pool complexes with water-confidence classes for toddlers, inflatable games and aqua aerobics; a variety of sports ranging from team games such as basketball and football to bowls, tennis and squash; and family-friendly evening entertainment with singing celebrities, comedians and magic acts.
There’s a range of high quality holiday homes to choose, including modern, spacious Luxury models starting at £15pp, to Premium Plus homes, from £40pp, which include linen, flat-screen TVs and DVD players.
Prices vary by travel date, so spring short breaks in February, March, April and May, and autumn breaks in late September, October and November can all be booked for £15 per person based on parties of four.
Early summer breaks in June and the beginning of July, and for early September, start from only £20pp for groups of four. Three night stays run from Friday to Monday, four night breaks from Monday to Friday.
