Music has the powerful ability to heal a person’s soul. It can stir up old memories, make people think of a specific person or place and most importantly, music can lead the lost to the unconditional love of the Lord. Andrew Franks’s new book, From Life’s Pathways: Poems and Songs ($13.99, paperback, 978-1-61904-882-9; $6.99, eBook, 978-1-61904-884-3), is a culmination of sermons that speak to the hearts of individuals; through his songs and poetry, Franks will bring salvation, peace and joy to his readers.

“The purpose of this book is to reach those who are searching for the truth and to lead them to the [Lord],” states the author. “From Life’s Pathways is the product of a life long walk with the Lord. The poems and songs will strengthen, encourage, uplift, comfort, give hope and inspire the reader. They will help [them] face life’s expectations and be useful for the Lord.”

Andrew Franks gave his life to Jesus at the age of sixteen and then rededicated his life to the Lord at the age of twenty-four. He has faced many of life’s trials, but the Lord has always led him out of strife. At the age seventy-nine Franks wrote a few words on a scrap piece of paper in the form of poetic meter, which then transpired into this book.
