Wayne, PA (PRWEB) February 14, 2012
SkillSurvey®, Inc., the leading provider of online reference checking, has announced the addition of six new reference assessments for engineering professionals. The surveys are part of Pre-Hire 360®, a fully-automated reference checking solution that provides candid and prompt feedback on job candidates.
The six new assessments will be added to the already sizeable SkillSurvey library, which includes more than 250 job titles. The surveys, which are emailed to candidates’ references, target specific competencies as observed over time, allowing recruiters and hiring managers the ability to better assess job candidates. Each survey, which includes between 20-30 questions, is designed to measure an applicant’s on-the-job behaviors, skills and developmental needs.
The engineering library now includes assessments for the following positions:
- Chemical Engineer
- Electrical Engineer
- Engineering Managers
- Engineering Professionals
- Engineering Project Manager
- Engineering Technician
- Entry-Level Engineer
- Environmental Health and Safety Manager
- Industrial Engineer
- Mechanical Engineer
The newly added engineering surveys will allow recruiters to gather reference feedback that will measure behaviors in the following competency areas: professionalism, interpersonal skills, problem solving and adaptability, and personal value commitment. Survey questions will also spotlight job-specific behaviors and skills that cover a broad spectrum of key performance indicators. The engineering assessments are especially insightful for the consumer product, construction and manufacturing industries, which employ a large number of engineers.
“In the last two years, we have increased the number of surveys in our library by 46 percent,” said Ray Bixler, president and chief executive officer for SkillSurvey®, Inc. “Our newest surveys reflect our continued commitment to provide scientifically-validated reference assessments for candidates in all industries and at all experience levels. These assessments directly correlate to on-the-job success; therefore they are an extremely valuable tool for recruiters and hiring managers.”
SkillSurvey®, Inc. also offers the exclusive Passive Candidate Compiler™, a database of references participating in the Pre-Hire 360® survey process, who would like to be kept informed of future job openings. An average-size organization that fills 1,000 openings per year and processes five candidates for each position will amass a talent leads database of approximately 18,000 passive candidates.
