Spring House, PA (PRWEB) February 16, 2012
The National Association of the Remodeling Industry (NARI) has recognized Harth Builders, along with team members Suburban Marble & Granite, Sam Van Horn Electrical and Village Handcrafted Cabinetry, with a 2012 Regional Contractor of the Year (CotY) award in the category of Residential Kitchen over $120,000. This award marks the fourth consecutive CotY win for Harth Builders at the regional level.
Contractors from seven regions around the country vie for CotY Awards on an annual basis. As a regional winner, Harth Builders will now be eligible for the national CotY Award to be presented at NARI's Evening of Excellence on April 21 at the Gaylord Texan Resort & Convention Center in Grapevine, Texas.
The design-build team at Harth Builders earned its award for a complete kitchen renovation of an early 18th century farmhouse in Harleysville, Pennsylvania. The home, situated on property purchased from William Penn in 1718, has been owned by descendants of the Rittenhouse family for eleven consecutive generations. As such, it was important to the homeowners that Harth Builders create a design plan which maintained the historic character of their home while incorporating modern amenities for 21st century family life.
According to homeowner, Jennifer Rittenhouse-Seavy, the Harth team not only achieved their objectives, they made the process enjoyable. “The aspect we enjoyed most about working with Harth Builders was their design build process. Not only did they guide us through planning and design selection, they also provided a dedicated project coordinator who really kept things rolling through the construction phase. He did an outstanding job keeping us abreast of the schedule and various project developments. Their communication was flawless.”
The Regional CotY winners were selected by an impartial panel of judges who are experts within the industry and associated fields. Judging focused on problem solving, functionality, aesthetics, craftsmanship, innovation, degree of difficulty and entry presentation.
