“I chose the location because I believe in the neighborhood and wanted to invest in the re-development of San Francisco. The Van Ness Corridor is in the early days of a renaissance,” says Webster.

STUDIOMIX is a brand new health club opening in San Francisco, focusing primarily on classes and personal training. Founded by fitness industry insider, Mystie Webster, STUDIOMIX will be San Francisco’s largest group fitness facility and the first to combine the detailed amenities of a large health club including a constant schedule of classes and training options with the personal touch of a local fitness studio.
STUDIOMIX is San Francisco’s largest group of fitness studios under one roof, to include men’s and women’s steam and sauna, on-premise massage, nutrition coaching, wifi, and discounted parking. The club will open on February 29th and plans exist to add an organic cafe and a kid’s club within the first year. The myriad list of classes will include: Barre, Boxing, Boot Camp, Cross Training, Dance, Kettlebells, Pilates, Martial Arts, Studio Cycling, TRX®, Yoga, and Zumba®. The complete class schedule will begin on Tuesday, March 13th.
“I’m thrilled to announce STUDIOMIX,” stated CEO, Mystie Webster. “This has always been a goal of mine, and to be doing it in San Francisco makes it that much better. I’ve kept the San Francisco lifestyle in mind, so you will definitely see some uniquely San Francisco touches from the environmentally responsible, energy efficient design to the dynamic mix of class offerings that you won’t find elsewhere.”
STUDIOMIX was specially designed with colors, motifs and accents to harken back to the Post Industrial Revolution concept of “A Physical Culture,” transformation of society through exercise. The historic space includes original floor to ceiling windows, 3-story climbing wall, and a 6 studio modular gym layout that features a cycling studio, heated-floor yoga and dance studio, martial arts, boxing and TRX® studio, personal training studio and traditional strength, conditioning, and cardio area with free weights.
The launch of this centrally located 30,000 sq ft fitness start-up will pave the way for other local entrepreneurs to invest in the Van Ness Corridor. “I chose the location because I believe in the neighborhood and wanted to invest in the re-development of San Francisco. The Van Ness Corridor is in the early days of a renaissance,” says Webster. “I’ve gone to great lengths to hire local workers, minimize our environmental impact and make a statement by opening a huge, multi-faceted fitness studio with the best instructors, amazing amenities, and a new concept: classes all day, everyday.”
About Mystie Webster: Mystie Webster is a 10+ year fitness industry veteran and entrepreneur. Webster’s first successful entrepreneurial venture was Marketing Basics Inc. The sale of the company in 2003 allowed her to pursue a career in fitness, which began at the David Barton Gym in Chicago and included several years in upper-level management roles at Equinox and Crunch Fitness in San Francisco. Her desire to bring group classes to the forefront of the fitness industry encouraged her to open STUDIOMIX in the historic space at 1000 Van Ness Ave., formerly occupied by Crunch Fitness.
