The investment will launch HiTouch Health's innovative offering for primary care providers, enabling highly proactive and personalized interactions between patients and their health advocates.

HiTouch Healthcare, Inc., a new membership-based health care service that supplements a patient’s existing primary care relationship with value-added services, announced today that it has received financing from SoftBank China & India’s Bodhi Investments LLC fund (SoftBank Bodhi Fund) and that SoftBank’s Scarlett O’Sullivan has joined its Board of Directors. SoftBank Bodhi Fund focuses on high-growth venture opportunities in Asia and the U.S.; areas of investment include the Internet, software, telecom value-added services, entertainment and technology-leveraged businesses such as consumer-oriented services, healthcare and financial services.

HiTouch Health brings a unique customer experience and business model to the rapidly evolving primary care medicine space – partnering with providers to offer valuable additional health care services to their patients. “We were impressed with HiTouch Health’s innovative approach to an area of medicine that is increasingly under pressure,” says O’Sullivan, COO of SoftBank China & India Holdings. “Their model of direct primary care combines the convenience of multi-platform access with a focus on outstanding personal service. We believe the company’s technology and value-added services allow them to capitalize on a large and growing market, which is well aligned with SoftBank Bodhi Fund’s investment focus.”

Steven Yecies of Chronic Health Capital, co-founder and chief executive officer of HiTouch Health, brings over 20 years of experience driving innovation in health care service delivery and health care information technology. “SoftBank has a reputation for having their finger on the pulse of how the latest technologies will impact consumer markets, and we’re thrilled that they’ve chosen to invest in our new service,” said Yecies. “The funds will be used to apply highly personal and proactive technology solutions to HiTouch Health’s services, providing effective touch points between members, physician partners, and our team of health advocates, and empowering members to manage their own care in a whole new way.”
