SAN DIEGO, Calif. (PRWEB) February 16, 2012
Kelar Pacific brought together leading architecture, engineering and construction industry professionals for a panel discussion exploring the future of the construction industry in San Diego at the annual Associated Builders and Contracts of San Diego (ABC San Diego) board of directors installation luncheon earlier this month. The discussion provided an in-depth view with insights from different points of view at varying levels of the industry.
Moderator Lesley Tallmadge of Kelar Pacific was joined by Shawn Fisher, Vice President of Operations, Balfour Beatty Construction; Jon Baker, FAIA, LEED AP, Partner, Baker Nowicki Design Studio; Carl Rossi, Facilities Manager, Poway Union High School District; Frank Ternasky, AIA, LEED AP, Principal; and Michael McGuire, Architect, Delawie Wilkes Rodrigues Barker.
Audience members were encouraged to text their questions to the panel from their phones at their seats. According to moderator Lesley Tallmadge, Building Information Modeling (BIM) was a hot topic for the panelists. Members asked about how new technology would affect the industry.
“We have many talented people in our association, and we are fortunate to have them step forward to lead it. Working with our members we can get a lot accomplished.” said Scott Crosby, president and CEO of the San Diego chapter [of ABC]. “I know we have a great year ahead thanks to all of them.”
