Author Pam Warmerdam not only has advanced education and training in the field of weight loss and diabetes, but also has a lifelong passion for helping others lose weight, eat more healthfully, and becoming more spiritually balanced. She continues to spread her advocacy through her new book, God’s Carbs.
Thousands, if not millions, of people devour popular diets with gusto. Many people experienced weight loss results almost immediately, losing several pounds within the first week. The problem is that these diets were pretty much in direct conflict with what most of the medical community was prescribing for a healthy diet. In her book, Warmerdam introduces a new diet, one closer to the way God intended.
“God’s Carbs” is a diet of abundance. It may just become the new hip and trendy plan, possibly because of its simplicity. It is based on a plan that was originally devised a long, long time ago—looking at what God put here on earth for humans to survive and thrive. Within this book, readers will learn why the low-carbohydrate diets almost had it right, why some get diabetes and gain weight easier than others, sample meals and recipes, and much more.
This book can reach a vast audience, including, but not limited to, the millions of people searching for a plan to help them eat right and lose weight in an environment filled with nutrition misinformation, a virtual plethora of cheap convenience foods, and highly visible commercial interests. It may also be a guide for parents, educators, caregivers, or even health care workers dealing with children, to help them understand childhood obesity and find ways they can help to combat the problem.
