Retail shopping network travels the globe to provide customers an insider’s look at the world of exotic gemstones.

Our customers can shop with confidence knowing we have leveraged our worldwide buying power to provide them the most exclusive gemstones the world has to offer at a great value.

Jewelry Television® (JTV), the world’s largest broadcast retailer of loose gemstones, today announced its annual World Tour event. During JTV’s World Tour, gemstone buyers share their globetrotting gemstone discoveries providing viewers an inside look at exotic locations and cultures, plus many special gem offers.

From Bangkok and Madagascar to Hong Kong, Brazil and Tanzania, the World Tour chronicles the journeys of several JTV buyers as they seek out gemstone varieties such as tourmaline, emerald, topaz, andesine and apatite.

“During the World Tour and all through the year, JTV buyers are constantly looking for newly discovered gems as well as learning about the latest methods of cut and treatment,” said Bob Hall, general merchandising manager for gemstones at Jewelry Television. “Our customers can shop with confidence knowing we have leveraged our worldwide buying power to provide them the most exclusive gemstones the world has to offer at a great value.”

The first leg of the World Tour kicks off this week by highlighting gems from Ethiopia, and over the course of the next several weeks, JTV will take viewers on a journey through countries in Asia, Africa and South America. The schedule for JTV’s World Tour is as follows:

  •     Ethiopia: Feb. 17 - 19
  •     Bangkok: Feb. 24 - 26
  •     Madagascar: Mar. 2 - 4
  •     Hong Kong: Mar. 9 - 11
  •     Brazil: Mar. 16 -18
  •     Tanzania: Mar. 23 – 25
  •     World Tour Finale: April 30 - May 1

“Since our buyers have their ears to the ground, so to speak, it isn’t uncommon for us to be the first to hear of a new mine discovery and be first on the scene,” said Hall. “This is how Jewelry Television has brought many stones before the public that weren’t previously available or even heard of.”

Some of the gemstones made available exclusively through Jewelry Television are Altai Aquamarine, Chalama Black Opal, and Manchurian Peridot, which are proprietary brands. To learn more about JTV’s World Tour or to follow the journey, visit http://www.jtv.com.
